The Richlands Wildcats won the last time they faced the Dixon Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Richlands really took it to Dixon for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-27 victory on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-6.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brayden Anderson - Sidbury, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Avion James was in the mix too, providing Dixon with two touchdowns.
Richlands has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Dixon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richlands will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Northern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Northern Nash will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Dixon, they will head out on the road to face off against Havelock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Havelock's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
