The Durango Trailblazers will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Sunrise Mountain Miners at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Durango didn't have too much trouble with the Rattlers at home as they won 51-37. Durango pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rattlers cut but never quite recovered from.
Durango's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amarie Riley, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Milica Djukic, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain humbled the Cowboys with a 47-3 victory.
Durango's win bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Sunrise Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Durango skirted past the Miners 44-42 when the teams last played back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Sunrise Mountain's Delyla Ross, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
