The Intrinsic Mustangs's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Wells by a score of 27-17.
Leading Intrinsic to victory were Aniyah Wiggins and America Escalera. Wiggins scored 13 points, while Escalera scored 14 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wiggins has scored at least 25% of Intrinsic's points.
Despite the defeat, Wells had strong showings from Arianny Monserratt, who scored 2 points along with 9 steals, and Ryniaa Williams, who scored 3 points.
The win got Intrinsic back to even at 2-2-2. As for Wells, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Intrinsic will square off against Manley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manley's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Intrinsic's offense will have their work cut out for Intrinsic. As for Wells, they will head out on the road to face off against Uplift at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
