If the Patrick Henry Patriots were riding high off their 78-19 takedown of the Columbia Heights Hylanders on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Patrick Henry received a tough blow on Wednesday as they fell 65-50 to Richfield. Patrick Henry lost against Richfield in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 82-18 score last time.
Desirai Chappell was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Nickell, who scored 11 points.
Patrick Henry's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Richfield, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Richfield, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Simley at 7:00 p.m.
