The Northridge Raiders entered their tilt with the Westview Warriors with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Northridge blew past Westview, posting a 77-21 win at home. Northridge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Northridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gaby Gates led the charge by scoring 13 points along with three steals. Gates set a new season high mark in points with 13. Ella Mohamed was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bre Cory, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Bortner, who scored four points.
Northridge pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Westview, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Carroll at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Carroll will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Northridge is ranked ninth). As for Westview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Noble comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
