Saint Joseph had won nine straight road games dating back to last season and Lexi Loya did her part to make it ten on Wednesday. The Jesters were the clear victors by a 31-7 margin over the Warren Bears for which the team can thank Loya, who threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards. She also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Saint Joseph didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Lexy Urias, Loya, and Brooke Riemersma picked up one apiece. Urias got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Although Warren took the loss, they still got scores from Jocelyn Escobar and Isabella Gonzalez.
