Softball Recap: Cabrini Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Cabrini's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Clarenceville Trojans get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Monarchs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Faith Sterling was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Toro, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cabrini always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .812. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cabrini's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-16. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Clarenceville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

Cabrini will be playing in front of their home fans against Grosse Ile at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarenceville, they will challenge Greenhills at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
