AURORA, Colo. - In spite of trailing
Mullen (Denver, Colo.) 17 points,
Grandview (Aurora, Colo.) surged back to grab a 51-24 win over
Mullen (Denver, Colo.) Saturday.
The Mustangs pulled ahead on a
D Odorisio touchdown pass to
Bradley Garza-garcia, and subsequently went into halftime leading 23-11. The Wolves took the lead to win the game on a touchdown in the third quarter.
Grandview secured its victory by scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to push the final margin to 27.
GHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 12-7.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Aurora school, which was coming off a 21-7 defeat at the hands of ThunderRidge in its previous game. The loss was the fourth in a row for Mullen.
