Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Skates Past Brooks Debartolo Collegiate with Ease

Sports Leadership & Management waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 50-9 victory over the Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-29 last Tuesday.

Sports Leadership & Management was led to victory by Samantha Montecdeoca and Skylar Payne. Montecdeoca went 9 of 10 en route to 18 points and seven boards, while Payne went 7 for 12 on her way to 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Montecdeoca a new career-high in points. Kalynn Konyah was another key player, putting up four points along with five assists and five steals.

Sports Leadership & Management was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.
