Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Jupiter Warriors, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 79-31 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jupiter in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Jailyn Williams, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds for Centennial. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Knapp, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Jupiter has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which is still a better percentage than their 5-16 record this season. As for Centennial, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
Jupiter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Centennial will take on the Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Central is ranked 92nd, while the Eagles are ranked 99th).
