The Greenwich Academy Gators couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 43-36 to Holy Child on Monday. Greenwich Academy has not had much luck with Holy Child recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Holy Child's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alessia Paladino led the charge by scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Paladino has scored all season. Sophia Concepcion was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Greenwich Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Holy Child, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
