Big Game from Lewis As Ontario Christian Fell 33-30
Starting off the list is Ontario Christian's Zander Lewis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lewis rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.

Capistrano Valley Christian (535) came into Friday's matchup against Ontario Christian (233) with a disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings, but Max Krosky wasn't bothered. Krosky produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he picked up 142 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Capistrano Valley Christian moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles challenges Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Malachi Jones Delivers Best Effort of Season
Aquinas was led to victory by Malachi Jones, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Jones threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately for Heritage Christian, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jones. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jones saw the Warriors), he threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 77 yards on only nine carries.

Nate Richie produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Capistrano Valley Christian to the win on Friday. Capistrano Valley Christian was ranked a full 302 places lower in the MaxPreps California Rankings, but Richie proved rankings don't matter once you're on the field.
