Their tough 47-22 loss to Mead Hall Episcopal School on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. South Aiken Baptist Christian lost against Mead Hall Episcopal School in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-13 score last time.
Mead Hall Episcopal School had a senior duo take command as Catherine Abbott scored 13 points and Anne Fenton Massie scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Abbott has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caroline Wiedenman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
South Aiken Baptist Christian bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-6.
South Aiken Baptist Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Augusta Christian at 5:30 p.m. Augusta Christian's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Mead Hall Episcopal School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
