Rancho Verde has gone a perfect 4-0 against Rancho Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rancho Verde has six straight wins, Rancho Christian has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Rancho Verde is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Citrus Hill on Thursday as they made off with a 21-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabelle Sena made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Rancho Verde got a massive performance out of Leilani Rivas, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was Rivas' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Serenity Menendez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Rancho Verde always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Citrus Hill only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Rancho Christian lost 16-1 to Moreno Valley on Thursday.
Rancho Verde pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Rancho Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Rancho Verde took their win against Rancho Christian in their previous meeting on April 3rd by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
