Midland Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Aiken since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Midland Valley is taking a road trip to take on Aiken at 6:00 p.m. Midland Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Midland Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-6 margin over Spring Valley on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mallorie Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Midland Valley got a massive performance out of Bailey Seabolt, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Seabolt also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Jordan Nelson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
Midland Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 7-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Aiken didn't have quite enough to beat Brookland-Cayce on Thursday and fell 25-24. The Fighting Green Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Maddie Zeigler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Hopkins, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Midland Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Aiken, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything went Midland Valley's way against Aiken in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Midland Valley made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midland Valley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
