Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Jefferson's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Jefferson won against Rockford Auburn on Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The J-Hawks beat the Belvidere Bucs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-9 back in April.

Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Belvidere, they moved to 14-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jefferson will square off against rival Boylan Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Belvidere is set to challenge their familiar foe Belvidere North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
