South Pointe relied on the efforts of Quion Williams, who scored 20 points along with three steals, and Zyion Brown, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Prince Sohn was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, East Valley Athletes for Christ's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Imagine Prep 72-30. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Valley Athletes for Christ in their matchups with Imagine Prep: they've now lost nine in a row.
The win got South Pointe back to even at 9-9. As for East Valley Athletes for Christ, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-12.
