The Evans Trojans and the East Ridge Knights squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Evans Trojans had to settle for second. They were the victim of a rough 65-42 defeat at the hands of the Knights. Evans was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Ridge apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Evans' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sylvia Rushing, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Aliyah Jackson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Evans has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for East Ridge, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.
Evans does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Ridge also has no future games currently scheduled.
