The West Lafayette Red Devils suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 64-44 loss at the hands of Twin Lakes. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Lafayette has scored all season.
Jamison Ousley was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points for Twin Lakes. Ousley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Avery Condo was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
West Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Twin Lakes, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lafayette will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against North Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. North Montgomery will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 320th, while West Lafayette is ranked 143rd). As for Twin Lakes, they will head out on the road to take on Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwestern is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
