Even though the Spencerport Rangers scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, the Gates Chili Spartans still came out on top. Gates Chili took their game against Spencerport 62-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gates Chili.
Gates Chili's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tremier Lewis, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Lewis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Tantalo, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Gates Chili's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Spencerport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gates Chili will square off against Rush-Henrietta at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Spencerport, they will head out on the road to face off against Albion at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Albion comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
