West Union hasn't had much luck against North Adams recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dragons will face off against the Green Devils at 5:00 p.m. North Adams took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Union, who comes in off a win.
West Union is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 25-4 margin over Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Nate Fooce and Matty Byron made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Fooce pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Byron pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Fooce went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Byron went 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those two RBI gave Fooce a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Thomas Barnhart, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Tegan Knox was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
West Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .705. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, North Adams lost 7-1 to Portsmouth West on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Green Devils in their meetings with the Senators: they've now lost three in a row.
North Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for West Union, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-14.
West Union might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from North Adams in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
