After four lead changes,
St. Sebastian's School (Needham, Mass.) took the lead for good when it ran for a touchdown with 5:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to upset
Milton Academy (Milton, Mass.) 29-15 on Saturday.
The Mustangs pulled ahead on a touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 7-6. The Arrows took the lead for good with a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring eight points in the third, St. Sebastian's School still trailed by 7 points going into the fourth quarter. But 15 points in the fourth helped SSS pull out the victory.
The Needham school's most effective player was
Brendan Daly. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 27-22 win for the Arrows.
The defeat comes as a step back for Milton Academy, which notched a 49-14 victory over Middlesex in its previous outing. With the win St. Sebastian's School extended its winning streak to three games. The loss snapped Milton Academy's 2-game winning streak.
St. Sebastian's School (3-0) goes up against Belmont Hill in a Independent School game matchup next week, while Milton Academy (2-1) locks horns with Buckingham Browne & Nichols also in a Independent School game.
