Baseball Recap: Falls City Extends Winning Streak to Four

Falls City won the last time they faced Charlotte and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Beavers walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Trojans. The win was familiar territory for the Beavers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Dale Shaffer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Falls City: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise. Teagen Wuest also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Falls City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Falls City's record is now 13-8. As for Charlotte, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falls City will welcome Three Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Charlotte, they will challenge Knippa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the Crushers at the right time seeing as the Crushers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
