Softball Recap: Baldwyn Has No Trouble Against Thrasher

Baldwyn won the last time they faced Thrasher and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Rebels. Considering the Bearcats have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gabee Lee and Caroline Craven made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lee pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Craven pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Lee scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Craven scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jana Claire Collins, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allyson Estes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The win got Baldwyn back to even at 8-8. As for Thrasher, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Baldwyn will square off against rival Biggersville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Thrasher is set to challenge their familiar foe Wheeler at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
