After a string of five wins, Madison's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-3 to the Benedictine Bengals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Streaks of the 5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Dom Lawrence was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Madison suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 13-4. As for Benedictine, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison will host Brush at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Benedictine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hawken at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Bengals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
