HOUSTON, Texas -
North Shore (Houston, Texas) saw its 14-point lead dwindle to seven, but still managed to hang on and beat
Deer Park (Texas) 14-7 on Saturday.
The Mustangs were up 14-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Lawance McCardell in the first quarter.
McCardell played well for North Shore in the victory. The junior quarterback ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Deer's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Zach Whitley, NS came into the game allowing 14.3 points per game.
The loss comes after Deer Park defeated Channelview 45-0 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for the Houston school, which lost to La Porte last week, 27-10.
