Baseball Recap: Eupora Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Eupora came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Velma Jackson Falcons get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Macon Ballard was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooks Powell, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Eupora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Eupora's record now sits at 8-4. As for Velma Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Eupora will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
