The Hemlock Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Standish-Sterling Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hemlock will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Tuesday, Hemlock was able to grind out a solid win over Garber, taking the game 46-35.
It was another big night for Lauren Borsenik, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Borsenik, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Standish-Sterling aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Tuesday extended their overall winning streak to five. They breezed by Nouvel Catholic Central at home to the tune of 53-25. Standish-Sterling has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.
Hemlock's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Standish-Sterling, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Hemlock strolled past Standish-Sterling in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 72-53. Does Hemlock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Standish-Sterling turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
