The St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Gibsonburg Golden Bears had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Gibsonburg found their leader in underclassman Reece Walby, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Walby has scored at least 25% of Gibsonburg's points. Another player making a difference was Jake Hall, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
St. Joseph Central Catholic now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Gibsonburg, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
St. Joseph Central Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Hopewell-Loudon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopewell-Loudon is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Gibsonburg, they will challenge St. Mary Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
