The Covenant Christian Academy Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of JV Opponent by a score of 49-47.
Despite the loss, Covenant Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Brandon Alibaruho scored 15 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Alibaruho scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Marvin, who scored 12 points.
Covenant Christian Academy dropped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for JV Opponent, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
Covenant Christian Academy will be playing at home against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. JV Opponent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
