The Hardee Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The matchup between Hardee and Frostproof wasn't particularly close, with Hardee falling 78-60. Even though they lost, Hardee's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.7 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Hardee still got an impressive performance from Phoenix Romeo, who scored 22 points. Romeo is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Samuel Teape was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Sevastian Rosado was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals for Frostproof. That makes it five consecutive games in which Rosado has scored at least a third of Frostproof's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Turral Berry, who scored 22 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Hardee and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Frostproof, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Hardee will head out on the road to face off against Frostproof at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frostproof has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 999 points over their last 14 matchups. As for they, they will be playing at home against Hardee at 8:00 p.m. Hardee is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.7 points per game.
