Softball Recap: Kellam Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Kellam came tearing into Tuesday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Salem Sundevils get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kellam's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Salem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kellam is set to take on their familiar foe First Colonial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Salem will challenge rival Kempsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
