Antigo has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Medford Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Antigo had to suffer through a rough 71-18 loss at the hands of Mosinee. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Antigo has scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Medford, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were dealt a 83-47 loss at the hands of D.C. Everest on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Medford has lost by exactly 36 points.
Antigo has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Medford, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Antigo took a serious blow against Medford when the teams last played back in January, falling 81-47. Can Antigo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
