It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the North Wake S Saints had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 51-0 victory over South Wake at home. North Wake S might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight games by 34 points or more this season.
North Wake S got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Reid out in front who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Sema'J Davis, who gained 110 total yards and a touchdown.
North Wake S's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Avery Hall was especially locked on to South Wake's QB and sacked him twice.
North Wake S pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-7 Sandhills T and 2-7 Wake Prep Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 25.6% over those games). As for South Wake, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
North Wake S does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Wake also has no future games currently scheduled.
