South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the McCormick Chiefs 75-22. One positive for the Hornets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Daruis Houston was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points in addition to five assists and five steals for McCormick. Houston is becoming a predictor of McCormick's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is 5-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Emari Crawford, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for McCormick, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind will face off against GREEN Upstate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McCormick, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Saluda at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McCormick is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.5 points per game this season.
