Basketball Recap: First Colonial Has No Trouble Against Deep Creek

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Green Run, First Colonial was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 78-57 margin over the Deep Creek Hornets. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Deep Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reggie Wyatt, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Barham, who went 7 of 16 en route to 15 points and five boards.

First Colonial's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Deep Creek, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

First Colonial has already played their next contest, a 78-38 victory against Ocean Lakes on the 24th. As for Deep Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-58 defeat against Washington County on the 20th.
