At the plate, Reilley Moore and Connor King did most of the damage at the plate: Moore went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while King scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four hits gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas De Filippis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Berean Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Jupiter Christian beat Oxbridge Academy 6-1 on Friday.
Jupiter Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Schenck, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Schenck has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Luke Winters was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Berean Christian's record now sits at 7-9. As for Jupiter Christian, their record is now 10-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Berean Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Jupiter Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Berean Christian might still be hurting after the 18-2 loss they got from Jupiter Christian when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
