Independent has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Kingman Eagles on Friday. Hopefully Independent is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in Kansas (the Panthers are ranked 27th, while the Eagles are ranked 321st).
Independent can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Douglass 64-12 at home. While fans of Independent might be used to big wins, the 52-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Meanwhile, Kingman earned a 50-42 victory over the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Independent has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 8-2-1 record this season. As for Kingman, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11-1.
Everything came up roses for Independent against the Eagles when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 70-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Independent since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
