Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tradition Prep). They enjoyed a cozy 44-28 victory over the Master's Academy Patriots on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, Master's Academy had strong showings from Naomi Powell, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds, and Phoenix Henderson, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Powell a new career-high in rebounds.

Tradition Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Master's Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Tradition Prep will challenge Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Master's Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Somerset College Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Master's Academy is facing Somerset College Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Somerset College Prep Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
