The Parkway West Longhorns will head out on the road to square off against the Ursuline Academy Bears at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Parkway West came up short against Rockwood Summit and fell 3-1. While the Longhorns didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-17 in the first set.
Parkway West started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.
Despite their loss, Parkway West saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Macyn Tarter, who had 11 digs, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Ursuline Academy faced Cor Jesu Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Parkway West has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7-1 record this season. As for Ursuline Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
