The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Parkway West is ranked 684th, while KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy is ranked 690th).
Last Thursday, Parkway West came up short against Philadelphia Academy Charter and fell 44-37. Parkway West has not had much luck with Philadelphia Academy Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy ended up a good deal behind Parkway Northwest on Monday and lost 67-48. KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy had strong showings from Haile Johnson, who scored 12 points along with six steals, and Mekhi Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Anderson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. Sayid Cooley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Parkway West bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Parkway West suffered a grim 69-45 defeat to KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Parkway West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
