The Hamilton Bulldogs were the 55-45 winner over the Italy Gladiators when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Hamilton ended up on the wrong side of a rough 63-38 walloping at the hands of the Gladiators on Tuesday. Hamilton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Hamilton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Colter Johnson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, and Pierce Summers who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Hamilton now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Italy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley Mills is on a five-game streak of home losses, the Bulldogs a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Italy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wampus Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Itasca has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
