Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat. They lost  14-1 to the Belvidere North Blue Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  18-2  last Monday.
 Jefferson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Rodney Rodriguez, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Belvidere North, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Guilford  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Belvidere North will  square off against  rival Hononegah  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
