The Wadley Bulldogs waltzed into their contest Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 60-59 victory over Randolph County. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Wadley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Frisco Robertson out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquez Wilkes, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Wadley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Randolph County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7-1.
Wadley will be playing at home against Alabama School for the Deaf at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Randolph County, they will head out on the road to face off against Dadeville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Dadeville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
