Gunter came tearing into Friday's contest with 19 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Howe Bulldogs with a sharp 17-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 23 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Gunter pushed their record up to 28-1 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Howe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Gunter will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 1.6, the Wildcats 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Howe, they will host Leonard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
