The Lakota East Thunderhawks won the last time they faced the Lakota West Firebirds, and things went their way on Saturday too. Lakota East came out on top against Lakota West by a score of 51-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lakota East.
Katlyn Pham went supernova for Lakota East, scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pham has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Asher, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Lakota East has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Lakota West, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakota East will take on Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sycamore is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Lakota West, they will head out on the road to square off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hamilton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Lakota West is ranked 37th).
