Baseball Recap: Croton-Harmon's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Croton-Harmon unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 11-5 to the Hendrick Hudson Sailors. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sailors from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Croton-Harmon got a good showing from Spencer Heath, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Heath hasn't allowed a single hit since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Harry Kahn and Sam Levine did some serious damage despite the final result: Kahn went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Levine got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Andrew Kim also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Croton-Harmon's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Hendrick Hudson, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.

Coming up, Hendrick Hudson will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Mahopac at 12:00 p.m. Croton-Harmon will be paying especially close attention to the Sailors' match: after the Sailors face off against the Wolf Pac, they'll take on Croton-Harmon again at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
