St. Helena strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Fort Bragg Timberwolves to the tune of 41-7. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won four contests by 30 points or more so far this season.
St. Helena got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Latif Basile out in front who picked up 182 receiving yards and two TDs. Those 182 receiving yards gave Basile a new career-high. Jhony Covarrubias was another key passer, throwing for 257 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
St. Helena didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dean Sommer and Basile. Sommer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
