Lake Braddock is a perfect 10-0 against Alexandria City since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bruins will head out on the road to square off against the Titans at 6:30 p.m. Lake Braddock's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Alexandria City's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lake Braddock took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Woodson get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Mac Verdejo's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Radha Samuel was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Eva Dubray was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Alexandria City nor Meridian made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
Leah Matthews spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Paula Nunez, who earned two runs and three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Hannah Steedman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Lake Braddock's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alexandria City, their record is now 7-12.
Lake Braddock's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Bruins have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Alexandria City, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lake Braddock continue to outrun the ball?
Lake Braddock took their win against Alexandria City when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
