The Austin Crusaders HomeSchool Crusaders fell victim to the St. Andrew's Highlanders''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Highlanders on the road and fell 41-0. Austin Crusaders HomeSchool has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
William Brooks threw for 121 yards on seven of 12 attempts. David Garcia Gonzalez was his top target, picking up 91 receiving yards.
Sam Marsh looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 118 yards and four touchdowns on only eight passes. Adrian Peradoza ii got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The team's defense also helped out by holding Austin Crusaders HomeSchool to a paltry 112 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to St. Andrew's' ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out five times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Owen Gab and his two sacks.
Austin Crusaders HomeSchool now has a losing record at 4-5. As for St. Andrew's, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin Crusaders HomeSchool will face off against Dallas HSAA at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dallas HSAA is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for St. Andrew's, they will head out on the road to face off against Frassati Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frassati Catholic will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
